Silent Hill: Homecoming can easily boast some of the most miserable-looking houseplants ever featured in a video game. The protagonist Alex Shepherd returns to his hometown, Shepherd's Glen, in search for his lost little brother Joshua, only to find the place almost deserted and crumbling. The indoor plants that once decorated most of the now abandoned and unattended buildings and facilities look dry, shabby and as miserable as can be, in tune with the bleak, ominous atmosphere. Below are a few of the miserable houseplants adorning the common areas of Grand Hotel, a majestic building that has become the home of horrific mutated monsters, as well as to the secret of an illicit love story gone terribly wrong.
