Although The Nest was in fact the secret headquarters of the evil Umbrella Corporation, technically it was still a medical scientific center where actual people used to work and pass a many hours in its offices, laboratories and recreation areas. This explains why there are so many houseplants there, although they are now mostly left to rot and standing or lying among zombified corpses and blood. (hisbrokenbutterfly)
